HE AIN'T HEAVY, HE IS MY BROTHER

HUMANITY HE AIN'T HEAVY, HE IS MY BROTHER    During World War II (1945), a Japanese boy stood in front of a funeral pyre and waited his turn to cremate his little death brother.  The person who took the photograph said, in an interview, that THE BOY WAS  BITING HIS LIPS SO HARD TO KEEP FROM CRYING THAT BLOOD WAS DRIPPING FROM THE CORNER OF HIS MOUTH. It was then that the guard asked him for the body and said, "Give me the load you are carrying on your back." And the boy answered: "He ain't heavy, he's my brother". He handed over the body, turned around and left.... In Japan, even today, this image is used as a symbol of strength.

MUST YOU BE THE JANITOR ?

MUST YOU BE THE JANITOR ? By Dr. K N Jacob Must you be the maid, messenger or watchman? Must you be the one serving others as a waiter, driver or receptionist – as others take coffee in the board room discussing corporate strategies?  Jesus said the poor will always be with us – but must you be the poor in your city? Must you be the one living in the ghetto? Must you be the one wearing what other people have dumped?  Every job is honorable. We need services at all levels. You can start at any level but don’t stay there. Don’t be comfortable at the lowest level of the food chain - scavenging for economic left-overs like vultures.  If you don’t invest in yourself, you’ll remain stuck at that level your whole life. No one will come to lift you up. The decision to grow is squarely in your hands. Your assets reflect your mindset.  Meph was invited to eat at King David’s table but he saw himself as a dog. For how long shall you be the underdog in you...

QUEEN ELIZABETH CROWN NOT HERS- PROF UJU ANYA

QUEEN ELIZABETH'S CROWN NOT HERS- PROF UJU ANYA Nigeria-born American professor, Uju Anya, has made more comments on late Queen Elizabeth II of England, saying she was unapologetic and would stand by her words. Anya, whose comments on Queen Elizabeth had sparked reactions across the world, further defended her comments, questioning how the Queen’s crown was gotten in the first place. She alleged that the crown was not her own but “plundered from the lands they exploited and extracted.” She said this in an interview with foreign-based news platform, The CUT. Anya said, “Queen Elizabeth was representative of the cult of white womanhood. There’s this notion that she was this little-old-lady grandma type with her little hats and her purses and little dogs and everything — as if she inhabited this place or this space in the imaginary, this public image, as someone who didn’t have a hand in the bloodshed of her Crown. How did she have that Crown? Even the crowns she wears are loote...

WHAT AN ENVIOUS LITTLE FELLOW! WHY PRINCE TURNED DOWN MICHAEL JACKSON'S OFFER TO SING ON "BAD"

WHAT AN ENVIOUS LITTLE FELLOW! WHY PRINCE TURNED DOWN MICHAEL JACKSON'S OFFER TO SING ON "BAD"  For decades, it's been a thing to try to pit Michael Jackson and Prince against one another. Who was better in the battle of royalty — the King of Pop or His Purple Majesty? Both musicians had other-worldly charisma and skill. Both could dance. Both made fans people squeal and pass out. Both loved James Brown and glitter. And both were a little alien-like in their celebrity: They were human but like, not. It's natural that people wanted the two musical giants to collaborate. That, however, never happened, even though it could've way back in 1987, when Jackson wanted Prince on the song "Bad," and Prince declined to participate. When you look at the history between the two mega-stars, Prince's refusal isn't shocking. Early on in their careers, the comparisons were pretty inevitable. For years, their careers ran parallel, beginning in the late ...
